In 2000 we completed building this home in the "Bent Tree Country Club"
in Sarasota.
The
site: almost 1 acre wooded lot,
seen from the front and the back.
This was the situation in December
1999, before anything was altered.
Almost
a hundred trees had to be removed for the
homesite and to keep the lake view.
Most were large pines, but also several
smaller oaks and magnolia trees.
This was the situation in January
2000.
The
foundation, slab and masonry walls are completed.
Plumbing is roughed in.
This was the situation in February
2000.
A
second story has been added. The roof is
almost complete.
This was the situation in March
2000.
Tiles
are on the roof. Stucco on the outside walls.
The pool (30'x15') and spa have been dug
and molded into shape.
This was the situation in April
2000.
Concrete
drive has been poured. Pool and spa are
finished. Curved window installed in family
room. Baths and sinks all complete. Exterior
stucco has been painted "dessert sand"
color. Air system and kitchen cabines installed.
All dry wall complete.
This was the situation in May
& June '00
In
July it was a bit quiet, but in August everything
was completed, inside and out.
We had the "moon landscape" around
our house changed into an instant lush paradise,
with mature oaks, palms and flowering shrubs.
We moved in the first week of September
2000.
